Last year I drove all night to New York City (I'm from Montréal, 8 hours from there) only to watch him play at the Madison Square Garden because he hasn't been playing in Montréal for the last 5 years. I will always keep in memory this incredible trip and this game where I've seen my hero on the ice for real for the first time!Miss Chouchounehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08965845406862085433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701260225318235392.post-38279846318723222722007-04-14T09:21:00.000-04:002007-04-14T09:21:00.000-04:00my brother had a Blue Jackets hat signed by Sergei...my brother had a Blue Jackets hat signed by Sergei in person; the S is exactly the same, though written years later.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701260225318235392.post-16455756779493587972007-03-23T09:53:00.000-04:002007-03-23T09:53:00.000-04:00Sergei is ONE of my heroes for two reasons: 1) H...Sergei is ONE of my heroes for two reasons: 1) His 007-like escape from Russia and 2) Stepping up last night and scoring the shootout winner to a chorus of boos.brandon_ROTUhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07838339832950279935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701260225318235392.post-21920574739045057732007-03-16T11:45:00.000-04:002007-03-16T11:45:00.000-04:00A similar story of mine is the reason that Nolan R...A similar story of mine is the reason that Nolan Ryan will always be one of my favorite players.

I've got a signed card from him (or at least I'll believe it's from him) stashed away in my card collection.

Good story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1701260225318235392.post-46605215421020325372007-03-15T18:56:00.000-04:002007-03-15T18:56:00.000-04:00This may sound weird, but I'd say it's a good chan...This may sound weird, but I'd say it's a good chance he signed it. I obviously don't know this for sure, but looking at the writing style of his signature on the card, it definintely appears European. I speak German (though I'm very rusty since I haven't really spoken it for several years) and have been to Europe several times, so I've seen many writings, and the cursive looks like what I've seen when I was there. Again, nothing that proves anything, but I would say it's some evidence.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
